One of Oregon’s best features is it’s gorgeous coast line, which makes it the perfect place to have an Oregon coast proposal. Even when it’s foggy and cold, that just adds to the PNW-esque feel and drama. These two had the most perfect beach proposal with their best friends present—it couldn’t have turned out any more perfect.
Brooke and Damien had a gorgeous ceremony in Westport, Ireland at the the Westport Woods Hotel. As with most weddings in 2020 and 2021 plans changed multiple times—from Ireland, to Montana, then back to Ireland, the day finally came and these two had an amazing day, in the country they really wanted to get married in with their closest friends and family.
I had a trip planned to Zion as a going away celebration for my friend and I—as I will be moving to San Diego and she has just moved from Portland to Bend. We wanted one last adventure together before going our separate ways for awhile.
Of course, I wanted to shoot while I was there, so I reached out to my community on Instagram and found out that an old friend from college now lives in Utah and her and her boyfriend were up for modeling for me!
After shooting some really fun engagement photos with Janaye and Mike (check them out here), the three of us were all really jazzed for their wedding day. However, amidst COVID-19 and other life things, having the wedding they had started planning was seeming impossible, and just getting married was more important to them, even if it was just quick and small. They decided to just get married with family and then have me shoot portraits of them later when the timing was better and COVID was on the decline.
Heidi and I have something in common. Smith Rock State Park is one of her favorite places—which is also true for me! If you’ve followed me for awhile or personally know me, you know I spend a good amount of time hanging out here either climbing or shooting. It’s a simply magical place with a lot to offer all kinds of people.
Conor and Anya wanted an intimate elopement that allowed them to focus on what they value and gave them space and time to feel truly present on their wedding day. They rented out an AirBnb on Sauvie Island in Portland, Oregon and invited just a three of their best friends—one of which officiated the ceremony.
San Diego is known for it’s beaches, surf, and most importantly, it’s tacos.
Yet just fifty minutes outside of the city you can find yourself in a forested wonderland of sorts called Mount Laguna. The air here is fresh and crisp, the trees towering and fragrant and the adventure opportunity? Endless!
Mount Laguna is one of the most beautiful places to say your vows in Southern California. This 6,000 ft mountain resides on the eastern edge of the Cleveland National Forest and overlooks the forest as well as the Anza Borrego Desert. Open year round, this mountain receives snow fall in the winter and sunshine in the summer months. It can also get quite windy, so just be prepared to rock that windblown look. Hats are also a helpful accessory for fly away hair!
