There’s no question that beautifully arranged florals add a level of beauty and drama to a wedding or elopement that would be otherwise hard to achieve! But I can’t tell you how many weddings I’ve attended where at the end of the night, I watch beautiful table runners, center pieces and bouquets get thrown into 99 cent trash bags. It absolutely breaks my heart to see this. The wedding industry is wasteful. On average, a typical 6 hour wedding produces 400-600 pounds of waste! That’s crazy! Even if you’re eloping and keeping the waste down to a minimum, you can still find ways to recycle, donate, or rent flowers for your event to stay as eco-friendly as possible. Here I’ve compiled a list of 5 ways you can reduce your wedding flower waste.
